Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Your Season 2 Predictions — And She Has Positive Updates

The much-anticipated second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform this week, and audience theories has been widespread.

Season 1 introduces a diverse group of personalities residing in Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds with musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and establishes tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for the new season vary widely, but certain themes emerge over and over: Will a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with audience demands as the main goal," the showrunner stated recently. "However I feel like me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by the production companies, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how quickly the new season progresses, and how much of what they're waiting for happens this season.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some fascinating backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — especially in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a few fans make a prediction grid about the new season," she says. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've actually done a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on the streaming service on October 29.
